The bulletins below are in the process of development by the Division of Financial Regulation (DFR). The division is asking for public review and comment as part of that process. All comments received will be given full consideration and a final report discussing our general response as applied to the bulletin’s final version will be released.

The Oregon Division of Financial Regulation (DFR) proposes to issue a bulletin regarding unfair claim settlement practices related to the use of virtual claim adjustment systems and mobile applications.

Purpose

This bulletin provides guidance to auto and homeowners/dwelling insurers that use virtual claim adjustment systems on how to avoid unfair claim settlement practices. The bulletin also clarifies when an insurer may require the use of a mobile application to submit a claim.

The Oregon Division of Financial Regulation (DFR) proposes to issue a bulletin to withdraw insurance bulletins INS 92-5, 98-1, 99-5, 2001-4, 2001-6, 2002-5, 2003-9, 2005-3, 2006-3, 2006-6, 2007-1, 2009-5, 2009-10, and 2013-1.

Purpose

The purpose of this bulletin is to withdraw the following:

92-5: Rate Filing Procedures for Workers' Compensation Insurance

98-1: Reductions of Refinance Escrow Rates to Induce Title Insurance Business
