Senate Bill 824 (2025) removes the sunset provisions from HB 3046 (2021) and reinstates the quantitative data reporting requirements from HB 3046. It strengthens the state’s behavioral health parity framework to evaluate whether behavioral health parity is being achieved in practice, especially in areas where disparities remain most persistent, such as network adequacy, out-of-network reimbursement, and denial rates for behavioral health claims. SB 824 also clarifies that the submitted data is confidential and not subject to public disclosure, helping to balance transparency with necessary privacy protections.
