The Prescription Drug Price Transparency Act requires prescription drug manufacturers to report on new prescription drugs with a price of $670 or more (the Medicare Part D specialty drug cost threshold) and on prescription drugs that experienced a net yearly price increase of 10 percent or more with a price of $100 or more for a one-month supply during the previous year. Consumers also have the option of reporting a price increase for any of their prescription drugs.

Oregon’s Prescription Drug Price Transparency Program requires health insurance companies to report on prescription drugs in Oregon. Each year, they report the 25 most prescribed drugs, the 25 most costly prescription drugs, and the 25 prescription drugs that cause the biggest increases in yearly health plan spending.
