Pharmacy benefit manager registration
Many individuals and business entities, on behalf of an insurer, third-party administrator, or the Oregon Prescription Drug Program (ORS 414.312), contract with pharmacies to process claims, pay pharmacies, or negotiate rebates for prescription drugs or medical supplies.
Starting Jan. 1, 2014, these individuals or business entities must register annually with the Department of Consumer and Business Services.
Pharmacy benefit manager does not include a health care service contractor as defined in
ORS 750.005.
The annual registration fee is $1,100.

Starting in 2024, pharmacy benefit managers
registered in Oregon are required to report information to the Drug Price Transparency Program by
