How to opt-in to the Oregon ground ambulance balance billing law

Self-funded employer, State of Oregon PEBB and OEBB group health plans may elect to participate with Oregon’s ground ambulance balance billing law provisions in 2025 OR Laws, Ch. 614.

Opt-in is for a full year unless the self-funded plan selects to automatically renew. Notices submitted January 1, 2026 through January 31, 2026 may have an effective date of January 1, 2026 or later. The plan can participate for any calendar or plan year and must notify the department at least 15 days before the end of the year to opt-out.
