Statewide Outreach Sponsorship Program

The goal of Oregon's Statewide Outreach Sponsorship Program is to collaborate with community partners in delivering financial education to consumers in underserved and underrepresented communities. The program helps empower consumers to decide on insurance and other financial services that are best for them and raise awareness of free services and resources offered by the Oregon Division of Financial Regulation. Participating organizations are selected through a request-for-proposal process and contract awards are for one year. The program is expected to be in place at least through 2025. Organizations can apply each year. Future funding will be based on availability of funds and program effectiveness.

For 2024, the four organizations receiving $25,000 sponsorship awards are:

  • Community Connection of Northeast Oregon, Inc. is based in Union County with services also available in Baker, Grant, and Wallowa counties, and advocates for and assists senior citizens, children, low-income persons, and person with disabilities in attaining basic human needs and in becoming more self-sufficient.
  • Financial Beginnings Oregon is a statewide nonprofit that provides accessible and unbiased financial education programming to youth and adults in schools and community-based organizations with a focus on empowering people to take control of their financial futures.
  • FACT Oregon is a statewide nonprofit that empowers Oregon families experiencing disability in their pursuit of a whole life by expanding awareness, growing community, and equipping families.
  • Warm Springs Community Action Team (WSCAT) serves the Warm Springs Indian Reservation and the Burns Paiute Tribe. WSCAT's mission is to promote community development in Warm Springs by empowering individuals and groups to realize their potential, become self-reliant, and effect positive change for themselves, their families, and their community.
