Insurance Advisory Committee

About the committee

The Insurance Advisory Committee (IAC) helps Oregon's insurance commissioner by providing feedback, advice, and support around all aspects of insurance regulation. Members actively participate in quarterly meetings and strive to promote a healthy, vibrant, competitive, and innovative insurance market where Oregonians are protected from fraud, misrepresentation, misinformation, and abuse.

The IAC strives to amplify the voices of underserved and underrepresented people and communities as it provides counsel to the insurance commissioner. It also supports the commissioner's commitment to fully integrate diversity, equity, and inclusion in every action, as well as to promote and practice social justice.

The committee consists of 15 members, with five members from each of three groups: insurance companies, insurance producers, and consumer groups. Together, the committee provides vital insight, expertise, and advice to the insurance commissioner.
